Psalmopoeus ecclesiasticus (Pocock, 1903)



Habitat: Ecuador (NW, no urticating hairs)

Body length: 4 cm

Longevity: ♀ ~ 15 years, ♂ ~ 4 years

The female becomes about half a cm larger than the male. They are very fast and shy animals that withdraw when disturbed. The carapace is adorned with an olive-gold border, while the opisthosomas is gray-brownish (the underside is black). They are good eaters who live more hidden.
