Tarantulas (NW)

Here is a list of our new world (NW) species, which means the animals are native to South and North America. As a rule, these spiders have so-called "urticating hairs", which can be thrown at attackers and / or enemies and possibly cause an allergic reaction. In people who are not prone to it, they usually cause itching or burning. Genera such as Psalmopoeus and Tapinauchenius do not have this type of defense, but are also native to the New World. You will only find species here that we ourselves keep or have kept. All pictures are our own recordings and may only be used after consultation with us.

To find out more, all you have to do is click on the name / genus of the respective spider or use the menu above.
