A fast growing terrestrial species from South America. It needs subtle moisture and the ability to dig. Prepared hides are often used. The feeding reactions are amazing, the spiders pounce on their prey with great impulsiveness. They are very good eaters and can easily mistake the finger for prey. Adults reach a body length of approx. 8, sometimes 9 cm.
