Sahydroaraneus raja

Longevity: ♀ ~ 10 years, ♂ ~ 3 years

This in tubes living dwarf tarantula grows significantly larger than other small species such as Cyriocosmus, but at around 2.5 cm it still remains a dwarf among the tarantulas. It is brown-black in color and shows - depending on the incidence of light - a bluish shimmering abdomen. Sahydroaraneus contains 4 species, all native to India.
