Pamphobeteus (sp) vespertinus

(Simon, 1889)

Ecuadorian giant pink-tailed tarantula (terrestrial)
Mexico
~ 7 cm bodylength
Longevity: ♀ ~ 20 years, ♂ ~ 5 years

At first glance, they tend to be confused with Xenesthis, but they are not. Pamphobeteus sp. vespertinus shows a very nice purple color on the femurs and a distinctive mark on the carapace. This type bombards his hair extensively and obviously likes to. The behavior is always self-confident and sometimes defensive.
