Trichonephila inaurata madagascariensis is a huge orb weaver with a - at least with the females - very nice coloring. The spider webs can be well over a meter in diameter and represent a large part of the spider's habitat. Females reach a body length of 5 to 6 cm, while males are much smaller. You can hold the 8-legged friends freely in the room. They usually stay in their webs.
